Newtown Primary School is part of Stour Vale Academy Trust. We value working closely with the other schools in and out of our trust. 

Our vision is to provide an excellent education and wonderful childhood experiences for all of our children. Children and staff feel safe to learn and flourish. 

At Newtown we strive to enable every child to achieve our school’s values to become successful learners, responsible citizens and resilient individuals.  Our curriculum and provision are designed to allow for all children to develop and embed these valuable life skills.  Each child’s starting point will differ to the next, but it is our mission to ensure each child embodies these characteristics in order to belong, believe and achieve at Newtown and throughout their lifetime. 

Our belief is that if each child can demonstrate resilience when facing challenges; be responsible in their actions and choices; have the ability and skills to be a good learner, then they will live their lives with self-sufficiency whilst making positive contributions to the world around them.
